It is such a joy singing with you all again after such a long break!
As we move into our second term I'm really looking forward to continuing to build our sound. This term we'll be celebrating bounty and togetherness as we sing in the summer!
We're in a brand new venue in a brand new part of town, and I'm really looking forward to singing with people again! As always we will begin each session with a short guided visualisation, followed by beautiful (often) seasonal and local folk songs. With simple, powerful harmonies taught by ear, there is no need to read music or to have sung before - everyone is welcome! We focus on singing with feeling to celebrate our landscape, community, and heritage, and it always blows my mind the depth of connection this brings to the group - I cannot wait to connect with you all again :)
To allow me to keep a handle on everything in these new COVID times I will be capping the number of places available, and I won't be offering the option to drop in any more. Instead I will be running short 6(ish) week terms to book on to, with taster sessions at the start of each. This first term back I will be offering the taster session HALF PRICE - book below to avoid disappointment!
Hi! I'm Emily, and back in 2017 I founded Birch Tree Folk Choir. I've always been a singer - I trained classically as part of my Music degree - but have always had a particular love for folk and traditional music. I moved to the South West in 2019 and set up the Bath group, and I'm so excited to be singing with people again!
