Meet Kerry

I became immersed in folk music over thirty years ago in Nottingham where I sang, played tin whistle and spoons in a couple of folk bands.

My background is in education - teaching music and leading school choirs for many years. Recently I have been increasingly concerned about well-being and mental health and re-trained to work with children and adults as a mindfulness facilitator and as a consultant in developing school grounds for outdoor classrooms.

My passion for the outdoors and music has been integral to my own well-being through the ups and downs that life has thrown at me and I firmly believe that a daily dose of both are essential ingredients for everyone’s well-being. I now want to share this passion and belief in the power of music and singing through the Birch Tree Folk Choir in Bridport.
