Tuesdays, 7-8.30 pm, The Ashcombe School
*please arrive from 6.45pm for a prompt start!*
The original home of Birch Tree Folk Choir, BTFC Dorking is a friendly and welcoming group meeting every Tuesday evening in room B0 at the Ashcombe School, Dorking. The hall is situated at the far end of the Bradley building, and there is plenty of parking - enter the school by the entrance opposite the station, park by the nearest building, and our room is straight through the double doors. Everybody is welcome - there's no need to read music or to have any experience singing or in a choir!
Philippa discovered folk music in her late twenties and has since been playing the fiddle, singing in folk groups and more recently, leading choirs. Philippa has a background in Drama teaching and Forest School and moved to Dorking in 2015 with her partner and their young son Theo. Philippa loves writing harmony arrangements and firmly believes that everyone has a voice that deserves to be heard!
